WiseSend Privacy Policy
Developer: XRLabs
Last updated: September 30, 2026
WiseSend lets you share and manage files and optionally mirror and control your own Android phone from a connected browser. You do not need an account. This policy describes WiseSend version 1.8.0.
Files and local network sharing
With your storage permission, WiseSend reads file names, paths, sizes, dates, thumbnails and file content so a connected browser can browse, download, upload, copy, move or delete files. Uploads and converted media are stored on your phone. Files are transferred directly between your phone and connected devices; XRLabs does not operate cloud storage for these transfers. The sharing server runs only when started in the app. Stop sharing when finished and connect only trusted devices.
The local server uses HTTP. Local file transfers and screen streams are not end-to-end encrypted by WiseSend. Use a trusted private network; do not expose the server to the internet. Public tunnel controls are disabled in this version.
Optional Accessibility Screen Control
WiseSend is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities. Its optional Screen Control uses Android's AccessibilityService API to perform taps, swipes, scrolling, navigation and typing that you explicitly send from your connected browser while Screen Mirror is active. To edit text, it accesses the focused editable field, its existing text, and window information. Text is temporarily held in memory, is not saved to disk or logged by this feature, and is cleared when mirroring stops or consent is revoked. Accessibility data is not transmitted to XRLabs or advertising services. The API is not used to make autonomous decisions or perform automatic actions.
The app displays a separate disclosure and asks for affirmative consent before opening Accessibility settings. File sharing and viewing a screen mirror do not require Accessibility. You can revoke Screen Control consent on the app's main screen, disable WiseSend Screen Control in Android Settings > Accessibility, or stop Screen Mirror to stop remote commands.
Optional screen capture
Screen Mirror uses Android MediaProjection, with a separate system permission prompt for each session. Visible screen content is sent to connected browsers on your local network. It may include personal information you display. WiseSend does not save a recording or upload screen content to XRLabs. Stop mirroring in the browser or from Android's capture notification.
Other permissions and device information
Storage access enables file management. Camera access scans QR codes. Network and nearby-device access discover devices and show connection information. Optional location permission allows Android to provide the Wi-Fi network name; WiseSend does not track or store location history. App visibility provides the Phone Apps list and icons to connected browsers; app launch and uninstall occur only when requested by you. Overlay and write-settings permissions support optional phone app launching and screen rotation. APK installation opens Android's install/confirmation flow for a file you select. Notifications and foreground services keep you informed about sharing, uploads, screen capture and conversion.
Connected browser IP addresses and user-agent information are used to display connections and apply your block list. Preferences, favorites, blocked addresses and desktop layout are saved locally. Operational diagnostic logs may include file paths and network information. Do not share logs containing private information.
External services
The QR connection website temporarily stores a randomly generated session identifier, device LAN address, and connection information so your browser can find your phone. Sessions expire. The Play Store build receives app updates through Google Play. Browser desktop assets such as fonts, icons, media-viewer libraries and optional wallpapers may be loaded from Google Fonts, jsDelivr, cdnjs and Unsplash; those services receive ordinary web requests, including IP address and browser information. We do not send your shared files, Accessibility text or screen stream to those services. WiseSend does not include an advertising or analytics SDK in this version.
Your choices and retention
Grant only the optional permissions you need. Stop sharing or mirroring at any time. Revoke permissions in Android Settings. App preferences can be removed by clearing WiseSend's app data or uninstalling it; files you upload to shared storage remain until you delete them. Temporary transfer files are cleaned up by the app. WiseSend does not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Children and changes
WiseSend does not knowingly collect children's personal information. A parent or guardian should supervise file sharing. Material changes to the app's data use will be reflected in this policy and in relevant in-app consent prompts.
